Today…I saw a status on facebook that said, ” girl, you look like a ugly ass pig with down syndrome”. This little girl, my niece, has down syndrome. I dunno about you, but I think she’s beautiful. It astounds me that even in our time people are ignorant enough to still use mental illnesses as insults. It’s degrading and hurtful to people who can’t defend themselves. It makes me ashamed of my generation to see that pure ignorance.
